Have you ever walked into a room and just felt something? Like the air was thick with tension—or alive with joy—before anyone said a word? That’s the energy body at play.

We are so much more than skin and bones. We are light, frequency, and vibration. We are layered.

Understanding the Energy Body

The energy body isn’t something new—it’s something ancient. Indigenous cultures across the world have known for centuries that we exist on more than just the physical plane. In yoga, we speak of the koshas—the sheaths of the self. In energy medicine, we recognize layers like the etheric, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. In the chakra system, we work with energy centers that govern different aspects of our being.

Each layer of the energy body holds wisdom. They store our beliefs, our emotions, our patterns, our dreams. And when one layer is out of balance, it ripples through the others.

A Simple Breakdown:

  • Physical Body: The tangible self—bones, muscles, organs.
  • Etheric Body: The blueprint of the physical, the closest energy layer.
  • Emotional Body: Where feelings live, shift, and sometimes get stuck.
  • Mental Body: Our thoughts, beliefs, inner narratives.
  • Spiritual Body: Our connection to something greater—Spirit, Source, the Divine.

Why It Matters

When we work with the energy body, we work with the whole self. We go beyond surface-level fixes. We clear stagnant energies, untangle emotional cords, and restore flow.

I’ve seen this transformation in session: someone arrives feeling heavy and clouded. After energy work, they leave lighter—sometimes in tears, sometimes smiling, always more connected.

  • Clear your field: visualize white light moving through you.
  • Tune into your chakras: notice which areas feel open, closed, overactive.
